1930

第一家医院 Grantsburg opened on November 19, 1930 - one year after the organization was founded. 费用为25 700美元. Forty-seven 居民 purchased initial shares in the corporation. Two physicians 和 one surgeon were on the medical staff.

1956

Stockholders launched Grantsburg Hospital Inc., a new not-for-profit hospital. Instead of remodeling the old Community Hospital structure, they turned towards building a new 31-bed facility on St. 乔治大街. Citizens throughout the surrounding area in Wisconsin 和 Minnesota b和ed together to raise a full quarter of the total construction cost.

1961

The new healthcare facility on St. 乔治大街 in Grantsburg, WI opened. 

1970

A 53-bed extended care facility was added to meet the growing needs of the aging population. 

1985

An exp和ed emergency room, exam rooms, ambulance garage, 和 supply area were added.

1995

The hospital had evolved from an inpatient care facility to a modern healthcare provider of inpatient 和 outpatient services. Reflecting the hospital's growth, the hospital became known as Burnett Medical Center (BMC).

1996

BMC underwent a complete internal makeover. Many departments were moved 和 redesigned to provide more efficient work areas. A 10,000 square foot wing was added to the east end of the hospital to accommodate a new operating room 和 procedure room, a larger recovery area, an exp和ed Radiology Department with a CT scan room, a storeroom to house needed supplies, 还有一个装货码头. Existing spaces within the hospital 和 extended care facility were redecorated to make them more appealing 和 inviting to patients, 居民, 和游客. The building renovation was completed in late 1997. 

 

The extended care facility was successively renamed the Continuing Care Center.

2001

在11月, BMC purchased the local 家庭医疗 clinic from Allina, 和 the Burnett Medical Center Clinic was born. 

2007

The first phase of a building expansion project started. This included a new main entrance, parking 和 driveway off highway 70, an 急诊科,结合 家庭医疗 和 专业诊所, centralized registration, Health Information Department, 和 a portion of the Rehabilitation Department. 

2008

Phase two began in May 和 included renovations for a new business office 和 hospital pharmacy, exp和ed hospital lab 和 Rehabilitation Department, a new chapel room, additional office 和 conference space, 和 a new dining room. 

Administrative offices (human resources, 会计, administrative assistant services, 和营销), 生活充实, 和 social services offices, were also renovated as part of phase three, completed in November 2008.

2010

3月1日st， BMC修订了 Continuing Care Center license from 53 beds to 50 beds (23 double occupancy semi-private rooms 和 4 private rooms).

2020

BMC begins a Quest for Excellence journey by partnering with Capstone Leadership Solutions.

Completed a Rebr和ing initiative.
